Nick Carter
Nick Carter, a vocalist from the Backstreet Boys, will not be charged for an allegation of sexual assault from 2003.

Melissa Schuman publicly accused Carter of raping her in a blogpost in February but the case was thrown out by prosecutors as the statute of limitations had passed.

Ms Schuman said she was 18 and a virgin at the time of the alleged attack.

She said she made the decision to speak out after seeing an allegation against Carter by another woman and said she was “well aware of the likelihood that my case was not prosecutable” but it provided “great solace” to know that prosecutors looked into it.

Carter denied the allegations.

Head of CBS Les Moonves has resigned with immediate effect following more allegations of sexual misconduct.

Six women accused him of sexual harassment or assault and some say he damaged their careers when they tried to rebuff him.

In a statement CBS said a $20m donation would be paid immediately in support of the #metoo movement.

The money will be deducted from any severance benefits that may be due to Moonves.

Jeff Fager, producer of CBS show 60 minutes, left his job “immediately” amid claims that he sexually harassed colleagues.

President of the organisation, David Rhodes, said the departure was “not directly related to the allegations surfaced in press reports” but that Fager had “violated company policy”.

Fager denies the allegations saying that he had been fired over a “harsh” text he sent to a colleague.

Sky News (in UK) has obtained a video of Harvey Weinstein behaving inappropriately with a young woman at a business meeting.

The footage shows Weinstein hugging, touching and making sexually suggestive comments to 28 year old Melissa Thompson.

Ms Thompson was at the Weinstein Company Offices in September 2011 to pitch her company and she recorded the meeting as part of the demo.

Later that day she was invited to meet Weinstein in a hotel lobby.

Assuming this meeting was in order to close the deal Ms Thompson followed Weinstein thru the lobby to what she thought was going to be a conference room but was actually his bedroom.

It was there she alleges he raped her.
