Roy Moore

Allegations of sexual abuse have been made about Roy Moore, Alabama’s Republican Candidate for the US Senate.

Four women, including Leigh Corfman, have said that Moore made sexual advances on them between the ages of 14 and 18 when he was a prosecutor in his early 30s.

Moore, now 70, has denied these allegations saying they are the “very definition of fake news and intentional defamation”.

Senate Republicans have said if the claims are true Moore should immediately step aside and allow Alabama to elect a new candidate.

Harvey Weinstein

NYPD are gathering evidence to build a case against Harvey Weinstein.

Actress Paz de la Huerta alleged Weinstein raped her on two separate occasions in 2010 and she has given the police a credible and detailed description of what happened.

Police in the UK are also investigating Weinstein. Seven women alleged he sexually assaulted them.

Weinstein still denies all allegations of non-consensual sex.

Actress Rose McGowan said she was offered $1million from Weinstein if she kept quiet about being raped. She turned down the money as she said taking it would make her feel “gross” and “disgusting”.

Kevin Spacey

New allegations of sexual assault and predatory behaviour from Kevin Spacey towards young people, women and men are still emerging. The claims go from mid-1980s to 2016, during which time he worked both in London and Hollywood.

Spacey is “seeking treatment” although what treatment hasn’t been specified.

George Bush Sr

Former US President George Bush Senior has been accused of sexually assaulting Heather Lind and Jordana Grolnick.

Both women say that he touched their bottom from behind while posing for photos and that he told a dirty joke.

Bush’s spokesperson explained that because he is confined to a wheelchair his arm falls on the lower waist of people when photos are taken and occasionally “he has patted women’s rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner.

Some have seen it as innocent; others clearly view it as inappropriate.

Bush has apologised to the two women and to “anyone he has offended”.

Peter Madsen

Danish inventor Peter Madsen admitted to dismembering the body of missing Swedish journalist Kim Wall, although he still denies killing her.

He also admitted to weighing down her body parts with metal and dumping them in the sea.

Kim Wall disappeared during the night of 10th August. A freelance journalist, she was researching a story on Madsen who had built a submarine through crowdfunding. She was last seen embarking on a trip in the said submarine.

Madsen first claimed that Kim had died as a result of being hit on the head by the submarine hatch then that she died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The post-mortem on Kim’s torso revealed knife wounds to her ribcage and genitals, believed to have been caused around the time of her death.

Devin Patrick Kelley

Authorities have said that the mass shooting in the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in which 26 people died and 20 more were injured was not “terror” related, racially motivated or over religious beliefs but because of domestic violence.

Gunman Devin Patrick Kelley had argued with his mother-in-law and other family members in the days leading up to the attack. He chose that church as it was the one attended by the relations he had been fighting with, even though none of them were there that day.

Kelley had a history of violence towards his wife and child and was dishonorably discharged from the US Air Force in 2014 following a court martial for assaulting them. This meant that he was not allowed to own a gun, yet he had three.

Singer/songwriter/musical genius and dear friend Milck (aka Connie Lim) has released a new version of Quiet, the song that was captured on video at the Women’s March on Washington and quickly went viral.

Many hundreds of women (myself included) reached out to Milck in the days, weeks and months following the march both to share their survivor stories and to share videos of their own choirs singing her song.

This new version of Quiet is every bit as beautiful as the original and contains so much joy, hope and love.

The powerful video that accompanies it shows exactly what it feels like to be sexually assaulted over and over again and, the relief and hope of finding love, warmth and acceptance with a group of women who really do understand and give you the space to let it out and be exactly who you are.
