Social networking site Tumblr has announced plans to ban all pornographic content.

The new policy has come just weeks after images of child sexual abuse made it past their filters.

A partially buried body found near an Airbnb in Costa Rica has been identified as the remains of US tourist, Carla Stefaniak.

Carla was reported missing the previous week when she did not arrive back in US.

She was last heard from the evening before her flight.

Bismarck Espinosa Martinez, the security guard at the property, was arrested as a suspect in this sexually motivated murder.

Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire accused of sexually assaulting young girls has settled a lawsuit meaning that his alleged victims will not get the chance to testify against him.

Having previously sued Bradley Edwards, who represented many of Epstein’s victims, Epstein issued a public apology before jury selection for the lawsuit began: “I am now admitting I was wrong and that the things I said to harm Mr Edwards’ reputation as a trial lawyer were false.”

USA Gymnastics has filed for bankruptcy so it can “expeditiously revolve” claims by athletes who were sexually abused by former team doctor Larry Nassar.

In January Nassar was sentenced up to 175 years in prison after nearly 160 women accused him of sexual abuse.

Chair of the organisation Kathryn Carson said: “Our sport is safer and stronger thanks to the bravery of these women. We owe it to the survivors to resolve, fully and finally, claims based on the horrific acts of the past and, through this process, seek to expedite resolution and help them move forward.”
