Jose Nunez
Jose Nunez, a Texas Sheriff’s Department Deputy, has been arrested for sexually abusing a 4 year old girl and threatening her mother with deportation.

Nunez was charged with super aggravated sexual assault, a charge that is applied when the victim is less than 6 years old.

Investigators believe the abuse could have been happening for months or even years.

Nunez has been placed on administrative leave and if found guilty could face up to 25 years in jail.

Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, who led the archdiocese of Washington and was a political force there, has been removed from public ministry by the Vatican because of a decades old allegation of sexual abuse.

He is one of the highest ranking American leaders in the Catholic Church to be removed from ministry because of charges of sexual misconduct.

McCarrick maintains that he is innocent.

Australia has announced it will hold a national inquiry into sexual harassment in the workplace.

Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins said: “Metoo has resulted in a lot of women or men speaking out about sexual harassment abs we know workplaces want to do better.”

The Australian Human Rights Commission has described sexual harassment as “a persistent and pervasive problem in Australian workplaces.”

A woman in Arizona has filed a complaint with the state Board of Pharmacy after a pharmacist at Walgreens refused to give her prescription medicine to end her pregnancy on moral grounds.

Nicole Mone had found out at a doctor’s appointment that her baby was not developing normally and her two month pregnancy would not run to term.

She was given the choice to end it either through a surgical procedure or prescription medication.

“I stood at the mercy of this pharmacist explaining my situation in front of my 7 year old and five customers standing behind, only to be denied because of his ethical beliefs.

I left Walgreens in tears, ashamed and feeling humiliated by a man who knows nothing of my struggles but feels it is his right to deny medication prescribed to me by my doctor.”
