Jeff Sessions has rejected an asylum claim from a woman from El Salvador who was beaten and raped by her ex-husband claiming immigrants were exploiting the system: “generally, claims by aliens pertaining to domestic violence…will not qualify for asylum. The mere fact that a country may have problems effectively policing certain crimes…or that certain populations are more likely to be victims of crime, cannot itself establish an asylum claim.”

Activists say this landmark ruling will affect tens of thousands of asylum applications.

Gary Wayne Lindsey fatally shot four children (aged 12, 10, 6 and 1) and then turned the gun on himself after a 21 hour police standoff.

His girlfriend called the police after he injured her in an argument and when they finally gained entry to the apartment where Lindsey had been holding the children hostage they were all dead.

Lindsey was on probation for arson.

He had been arrested many times for charges of aggravated assault with a weapon and domestic violence.

He was the father of two of the children.

The co-founder of fashion brand Guess is stepping down as executive chairman, although he will remain on the board until 2019.

Paul Marciano is alleged to have made inappropriate comments, sent inappropriate texts and made unwanted advances including kissing and groping.

Kathryn Novak is suing her ex-boyfriend and members of a university fraternity for posting sexual videos and images of her and “many” other woman in a secret facebook group.

The national Delta Sigma Phi facebook group said it has suspended its Orlando chapter immediately calling the allegations “disturbing and antithetical”.

The University of Central Florida said they were looking into the claims and that the allegations were “contrary to our core values”.

Sinn Féin delegates have voted to change the party’s position on abortion at a conference in Belfast, Ireland.

Members backed a leadership motion stating that women should have access to abortion within “a limited gestational period”.

This means the party can now support the law to be brought before the Irish Parliament, which is expected to allow abortion within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

MILCK (aka Connie Lim) has released a beautiful and autobiographical music video to accompany her latest single “Oh My My (What A Life)”.

The video was shot in Connie’s home town, both in the house where she grew up and the theater where she took part in dance recitals as a child.

The casting was perfect and included a “child Connie” and a “teenage Connie” (who were exactly how I imagined Connie to be at those ages!) as well as her family, friends and boyfriend who had cameos.

You can watch the video below:
